After lunch (approx. 12 miles back): 
Go northwest through back of parking lot to Bernardo. 
CAUTION: speed bumps.

Exit R-Middlefield 
R-Shoreline Blvd. (formerly Bailey) for 1.2 miles 
R-Crittenden Dr. Regroup. 
Go to end of Crittenden up short hill.

  Head through Shoreline Park toward Palo Alto (northwest). 
  Will be on bike paths next to bay for about 4.5 miles. 
L-before first bike/ped. bridge (don't cross bridge). 
R-after crossing bridge near Shoreline entrance road. 
R-to cross bridge over Ben Lefkowitz Undercrossing. 
  Jog left, then right onto Bayshore frontage road at sign pointing 
  "to Highway 101 Bicycle/Pedestrian Overcrossing." 
  Go 0.2 miles and make a left at 101 Bike/Ped. Xing near Oregon 
  Expwy. and Embarcadero.
